Introduction:

DVE-0001, known as NTSC/PAL Encoder, is a fully integrated digital video encoder designed for Video CD, DVD, and other digital video application. It enhances the overall display quality by adopting a novel video-processing algorithm.

Key Features:

• Design to meet TV out system requirements for next-generation desktop or notebook PCs, game consoles, and set-top boxes.
• Support adaptive flicker filtering, ATSC High-Definition Television (HDTV) output with minimum resolution of (320x200) to maximum resolution of (1024x768).
• Receives YCbCr/RGB digital input data and encode it into video data.
• Three digital output channels can support three composite video or one separate Y/C video plus one composite video.
• Support 3-wire analog RGB or YPRPB HDTV output
• Automatically insert horizontal tri-level synchronization pulses and vertical synchronization broad pulses when DVE-0001 is in HDTV output mode.
• Support ATSC HDTV resolutions of 480p, 720p and 1080i.
• With a single 27MHz clock input, it simplifies the system design and support the video output format of NTSC-M, PAL-B, D, G, H, I, N, PAL-M, and PAL-Nc.
• When DVE-0001 is in a master, it generates all the necessary output timings and signals. But when it is in a slave, it will automatically detect the input data formats and generates the related corresponding video data.
